Q?What happens if I move?
A.

By leaving your alarm system in your previous home, this will be used as a selling feature and an added benefit to the new home or business owner. You are also eligible for our referral fee, if the new home / business owner chooses to continue monitoring with Force Security; it would be our pleasure at Force Security to take care of all your needs at your new location.

Q?My new home has an existing alarm system but it is with another company.
A.

We will be pleased to offer full service to you, should you choose Force Security to provide your monitoring service we will at no cost replace your back up battery and refresh your entire system at no extra cost. Force Security is qualified to perform this on any alarm system.

Q?What if my system is not working properly?
A.

Force Security provides a warranty program to all our customers, free of charge for the first year into the contract. This warranty includes all services and products. After the first year, customers have the option of enrolling in our extended service agreement program.

Q?What if I have an emergency?
A.

In case of an emergency, we recommend calling 911 first if possible. Secondly all Force Security systems have three different panic buttons located on the user’s keypad. One to dispatch the police, dispatch the fire department and dispatch for ambulance. If in need of these services, the user must press down either one of these buttons for a full two seconds. There is always an option to carry a wireless panic button, in case of emergency where the customer has fallen and can’t get up.

Q?If my power goes off, will my alarm system still work?
A.

Yes, even when there is a power failure your alarm system will continue to function as all systems have a back-up battery.

Q?When Force Security installs my alarm system, do I own all my equipment?
A.

The purchaser does in fact own all the equipment that Force Security has installed. Force Security provides added value to our customers, we only use new equipment. By our customers owning their alarm system equipment, this can increase property value.

Q?Does Force Security charge me for false alarms?
A.

No, Force Security does not charge for false alarms.

Q?Can I control my security system from my phone?
A.

Yes, Force Security offers this option to our customers. You may also choose to control your thermostat, lighting or viewing your home or business remotely.

Q?How long does it usually take for Force Security to install my alarm system?
A.

Typically we can offer next day installation of an alarm system, usually the amount of time necessary to complete the installation is a couple of hours.

Q?What is ULC approved?
A.

ULC stands for Underwriters Laboratories of Canada. ULC standards develops and publishes standards and specifications for products having a bearing on fire, life safety and security, crime prevention, energy efficiency, environmental safety, security of assets and facilities, live working and workplace safely and other areas. Q?Will I receive a discount on my home/ business insurance by installing a security system?
A.

Yes, if you are eligible to receive a discount with your insurance company. Force Security is recognized by all insurance companies as we are certified by ULC. This discount could be fairly significant to the home/ business owner.

Q?What if I have pets?
A.

Pets are not a concern. All our motion detectors are high immunity pet friendly. It would be our pleasure to have the opportunity to protect your pets.

Q?How often do I need to replace my battery for my alarm system?
A.

Typically batteries will last 3- 5 years depending on the usage. When your battery becomes low, a low battery signal will be sent to the monitoring station and you will be notified, along with an amber trouble light that will illuminate on the keypad.
